Here We Go Again

Today she cried

For the tragedy
of a lesson never learned
For the unity
that cannot seem to be attained
For the wildly different directions that our individual interests force us to go

A dream has died.

And still we are not sure which side we should be on.

It is entertainment
A traffic nuisance
A source of income
An economic inconvenience
A forum for grandstanding

But it is never a passion
Never a fight to the finish
Never worth dying for

Maybe because dying is for fools
And we'd rather watch TV than make things right
